Spring Into All Things Chocolate!
Spring has sprung here in NH and Cocoa is in the news! With warmer temperatures on the horizon, we will be making our seasonal warm weather packaging (WWP) default transition to “yes”, which will automatically add this service unless you specifically choose to opt out. There are certainly regions, items and applications in which you may choose not to use this service, so as always the choice remains with the customer as to whether or not you would like your order to ship with WWP protection.
In other WWC news we were recently featured in a segment on New Hampshire’s Chronicle magazine. It was a fun visit, we enjoyed the opportunity to meet Sean, his crew and learn a little about the behind the scenes of television production. Hopefully they and their viewers enjoy the peek behind the scenes of World Wide Chocolate:-). Check out the segment here.
In other Cocoa news, you may have seen some recent headlines regarding prices of cocoa, “the commodity”. Well the reality is all of the chocolate products we all love emerge from the publicly traded commodity cocoa beans. Due to a very complex confluence of perfect storm “you can’t make this stuff up” circumstances, cocoa prices are rising at astronomical rates. In an effort to shine a spotlight on this reality that the industry is facing, Rob is doing a multi-part series of articles to explain and monitor this situation. Read the first installment posted on our WWC Magazine page here.
As lovers and purveyors of chocolate ourselves, please know we are working very hard everyday to secure the most premium products from the best makers World Wide. Although these challenges are significant, chocolate is a beloved product and will certainly persevere through these anomalistic challenges and WWC will do our part to continue supplying our customers with extraordinary chocolate from around the globe!
Cheers,
Craig
