Ingredients
- 4 oz Dick Taylor Belize 72% Dark Chocolate Bar
- 6 oz Dick Taylor Belize 72% Dark Chocolate Bar
- ⅓ cup Neutral Oil
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- ¼ cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
- 2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 1 tsp Sea Salt
- 3 Large Brown Eggs
- 2 cups Buttermilk (room temperature)
- 1 tsp Prova Gourmet Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract
Instructions
- In a heat proof bowl, melt together the oil and the 4 oz Dick Taylor Belize 72% Dark Chocolate Bar over low heat or in the microwave, stirring often.
- Whisk flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Stir in remaining 6 oz Dick Taylor Belize 72% Dark Chocolate Bar.
- In another bowl, mix together the 1 tsp Prova Gourmet Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Extract with the remaining wet ingredients.
- Pour the wet ingredients and the chocolate mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients and whisk just until combined and no flour streaks remain.
- Heat a waffle iron until very hot and lightly coat with nonstick spray. Working in batches, cook waffles until cooked through.
- Serve with whipped cream, fruit, or syrup if desired.Enjoy!
