K+M Winter Spice Hot Chocolate features a blend of allspice, cinnamon, ginger and black pepper for a most decadent sip. Made from the same beans used in K+M’s Extravirgin bars, their Chocolatiers intertwine complementary flavors to create a bean-to-cup hot chocolate with intense chocolate character and layered complexity.
Tasting notes of allspice, citrus, lush, velvety.
Instructions: Gently heat 4-6oz of whole milk (or your preferred non-dairy substitute) and 4 tbsp of hot chocolate mix over medium heat in a heavy saucepan. Whisk vigorously at first to froth the milk. Heat the milk to 150-170°F or until you see the first sign of steam begin to rise. Do not allow the milk to boil. Remove from heat, whisk thoroughly and serve.
Variations: Substitute 1-2oz of heavy cream in place of milk for a richer beverage. Increase chocolate mix or decrease milk for a more intense chocolate flavor. To serve chilled, heat the liquid just enough to melt the chocolate and pour over ice.
