Ingredients
- 336 g granulated sugar
- 24 g maple syrup
- 158 g evaporated milk
- 8.5 g salt
- 305 g Guittard 100% Unsweetened Dark Chocolate Baking Bars
- 26 g unsalted butter
- 100 g toasted walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Line 8" square baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a 3-quart saucepan, combine sugar, maple syrup and evaporated milk.
- Bring to a boil, without stirring, until mixture reaches 225°F.
- Remove from heat; add salt, butter, and 305 grams of the Guittard 100% Unsweetened Dark Chocolate Baking Bars.
- Whisk until fully melted. Whisk vigorously for 30 seconds, let mixture rest for 30 seconds, then one more 30 second vigorous whisk.
- Stir in optional toasted walnuts.
- Pour mixture into prepared pan, spreading evenly and allow to set before serving.
