Soy Free
A soy free chocolate is free of all soybean derivatives and ingredients. Many companies use “soy lecithin” as an emulsifier in the chocolate making process, however, some makers use sunflower lecithin and some chocolates are completely free of any lecithin. If a chocolate indicates it may have a soy allergen present, “may contain traces of soy,” then it will not be deemed soy free.
