Description
It is in the state of Kerala, nicknamed “country of the gods” for its lush vegetation and its rich fauna (elephants, leopards, tigers) that the region of Idukki is located. Cocoa cultivation has recently developed under the impetus of the GoGround cooperative which helps producers in the region. These beans, called Mankuva, from the Trinitario and Forastero varieties, are grown in agroforestry, in symbiosis with black pepper, cardamom or papaya.
