Single Origin India Chocolate

India imports a larger quantity of cocoa than it produces, although craft chocolate makers are exporting Indian Cacao and crafting unique single origin chocolate. Despite the country’s vast size, only certain regions with the proper climate are able to product the precious crop. Indian cacao was introduced to these regions in the early 1960’s, and today can be often found cultivated alongside other crops such as coconut or arecanut in mixed gardens.
