  • 1 Mixing Bowl

Ingredients

  • 3 cups + 2 Tbsp Flour
  • 1 cup Guittard 63% Extra Dark Chocolate Baking Chips
  • 3/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp White sugar
  • 2 Tbsp + 1 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 Cup + 1 Tbsp Buttermilk
  • 3/4 Cup Almonds
  • 1 Cup Dried cherries

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Cut butter into flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
  • Mix milk and eggs then stream into above mixture.
  • Mix slightly to gather into a soft dough. Incorporate chips, almonds and cherries.
  • Form dough into 3 patties, brush with egg wash and sprinkle with sugar.
  • Slice each patty into 6 triangles and place onto lined baking sheet.
  • Bake about 15 minutes and allow to cool completely.
