Mayana Chocolate is a heartfelt creation by Daniel and Tamara Herskovic, who share a deep love for chocolate and each other. Daniel uses his culinary skills to make beautiful chocolate treats, while Tamara brings her design talent to create elegant packaging and foster warm connections with clients.

Their story began at a dining event in Chicago, where Daniel was drawn to Tamara’s smile. Tamara later built a successful event planning business in Chicago and earned a yoga certification, opening a studio in Spooner, Wisconsin, which would become home to Mayana. At the same time, Daniel refined his craft at top restaurants in New York, San Francisco, and Chicago before starting a private catering business, where he prepared elaborate dinners for distinguished clients.

Noticing that his catering customers wanted special keepsakes, he took on the challenge of chocolate, learning from highly regarded chocolatiers. After extensive training, his truffles became sophisticated and delicious, winning several awards at the 2008 Chicago Luxury Chocolate Salon, including Best in Salon and Most Gifted Chocolatier. When they are not making their chocolate masterpieces, the couple loves to explore different cultures together, recently completing the 350-mile Camino de Santiago, which reaffirmed their lasting love.
